We are proud to have Pastor Kenneth Hoskins and First Lady Sheronda Hoskins leading our congregation. Our faithful leaders strive to ensure that our church remains focused on the teachings of the bible and living out God's word.

Pastor Kenneth W. Hoskins

Personal: Married to Elect Lady Sheronda A. Hoskins.  They have six children (Kenneth II, Lucius, Marsha, Shameka, LaShaunda, and Kendra)  Community Involvement: Pastor Kenneth W. Hoskins is a man of purpose, determination, vision, and integrity. Former Community Organizer for Faith in Motion (GRACE), Grand Rapids Area Center for Ecumenism. Other community involvements include The Area Agency on Aging of Western Michigan Advisory Council, the Mayor's Environmental Advisory Council, Board of Directors of ACCESS (All County Churches Emergency Support System), member of the Inter-Denominational Ministerial Alliance (IDMA) since 1995 serving two years as president. Pastor Hoskins' goals with Macedonia MBC is synonymous with that of Macedonia’s motto, "Helping Shape And Mold Ambassadors for Christ."  A former elected official that served two 4 year terms 8 ½ yrs total on The Grand Rapids Board of Education (Two years as board president, and 5 as treasurer). He has also been appointed to The Vision to End Homelessness Advisory Committee, past member of the Governor’s Faith Based Initiative Advisory Council, the Kent County Congregational Study Advisory Council, Kent County COVID-19 Task Force, Grand Rapids Housing Appeals Board, and Grand Rapids Participatory Budget Steering Committee (Representing the 3rd Ward). 2023 Candidate for the 3rd Ward City Commission Seat in the City of Grand Rapids. For approximately 59 years, Pastor Hoskins has demonstrated his anointed music ministry through an entourage of travels with The Original Pilgrim Wonders, The Wonder Boyz, and many other artists singing and playing lead guitar. He is a proud member of The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. crossing on October 5, 1978 at Ferris State College (Zeta Theta Chapter). He received his license to preach in June of 1984 from former Michigan State Representative Pastor Robert Dean, New Life C.O.G.I.C. where he served in many areas including youth pastor. He also served 9 ½ Years as an associate minister at the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Charlie Jones before becoming Senior Pastor of Divine Grace Ministries in 2000-2012 under its overseer & founder Apostle Bobby G. Johnson. He served as senior pastor of Alpha Omega Ministries COGIC, as well as the District Superintendent of The LH Ford Memorial District, (Western Michigan Jurisdiction) appointed by the late Jurisdictional Prelate of Western Michigan Jurisdiction & General Board Member of TheChurches of God in Christ, the late Bishop Nathaniel Wyoming Wells Jr. In 2021 Pastor Hoskins was appointed as the Director of Finances by Western Michigan Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Melvin Burton. Pastor Hoskins currently serves as the Senior Pastor of The Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.  Education: Pastor Hoskins received his primary and secondary education in the Grand Rapids Public Schools graduating from Ottawa Hills High School in 1977. He is also a graduate of Ferris State College (November 1979), and Grand Rapids Community College with Associates Degrees, Cornerstone University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pastoral Studies and a second major in Bible (May 2008), and Midwest Theological University where he earned a Master and Doctorate of Theology (June 2017). He received his Certificate of Completion in Theological Principles of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. from the C.H. Mason Bible College.  Recognition: In January 2002 Pastor Hoskins was awarded a Certificate for Community Involvement from Mayor John Logie, in January 2003 & 2005, he received recognition for Community Involvement, and Participation from the Honorable Mayor George Heartwell. In January 2006 Pastor Hoskins was recognized as a Giant Award Recipient (the HC Toliver Religious Life Award), and Distinguished Alumni of the Year recipient from Ferris State University in 2008. In both 2009 and 2010 Pastor Hoskins received The Legacy Award from the City of Grand Rapids. He is also a 2013 Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Zeta Theta Chapter Hall of Fame Inductee. 2022 Urban League’s Paul I. Phillips Presidential Legacy Award Recipient.  Motto: 1st Timothy 4:6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

Lady Sheronda A. Hoskins

Personal: Married t o Kenneth W. Hoskins. They have six children (Kenneth I (Squirt), Lucius, Marsha, Shameka, LaShaunda, and Kendra) and 23 grandchildren. ​ Community Involvement: Elect Lady Sheronda A. Hoskinsi s a woman of integrity, determination, and vision. Lady Sheronda is very active in assisting her husband (Pastor Kenneth W. Hoskins) in ministry. She is the past facilitator of a neighborhood woman's Bible studygroup, as well as the founder o f the JABEZ Learning Center. Founded in June of 2005 the center was conceived with the vision of mentoring youth in reading and math. The Jabez Learning Center operated for 3y e a r s as one oft h e Schools ofHope Reading Literacy Programs in collaboration with Heart of West Michigan United Way. During those years Elect Lady Hoskins served as the siteprogram director. ​ Early Life:  Born inFort LauderdaleFlorida she and her family moved back to her parent's place ofbirth (Clarksdale Mississippi) when LadySheronda two years old. She is the oldest of four children born to Manuel .L Haynes and Masilene Stimage. Lady Sheronda received her elementary and secondary education in the Clarksdale Mississippi, Memphis Tennessee, and Springfield Illinois Public School Systems. She later moved to Grand Rapids Michigan where she met and married the love of her life, Pastor Kenneth W. Hoskins. She furthered Lady Sheronda A. Hoskins  her education by completing, and receiving her undergraduate degree ni of June2016, and herMaster& Doctorate degrees inTheological Studies inJune of2017. ​ Actively involved in her community, Lady Sheronda has volunteered for a number of organizations within the Metro Grand Rapids Area, including assisting seniors with their everyday social and personal care. A devoted woman of God, her motto and favorite scripture passage is Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths". Lady Sheronda Arnette Hoskins is truly awoman who fears the Lord, and loves her family. She is indeed a Proverbs 31 Woman!
